Chapter Philanthropy & Service
In addition to national partners, collegiate chapters also support local causes through philanthropic fundraising and hands-on service on their campuses and in their local communities.
Alpha Sigma Tau at Monmouth University prides itself on philanthropy. In 2014, we were awarded the most philanthropic chapter among Greek Life. In addition to our national philanthropies, we support The Ashley Lauren Foundation and Suicide Awareness.
The Ashley Lauren Foundation
"The goal of The Ashley Lauren Foundation is to ease the journey when pediatric cancer is diagnosed by providing direct financial, material and emotional assistance, along with our many programs developed to bring smiles to the children."
Suicide and depression are some of the leading causes of death among college students. Every September, the sisters of Alpha Sigma Tau host suicide awareness week and vigil to remind our campus community that every life is worth living. Our goal is to spread education and awareness about suicide throughout campus.
